Approx. travel time: 5–15 minutes depending on transport method and traffic.

Walking

• From Sydney CBD (Town Hall / Wynyard area): approx 15–20 minutes on foot.
• Walk via George St → Cahill Expressway / Circular Quay area → Cambridge St.

Light Rail

• Catch the L1 Dulwich Hill Line from Central Station or Capitol Square towards Circular Quay.
• Alight at The Rocks or Circular Quay stop and walk 5–7 minutes to Cambridge St.

Train / Bus

• Train option: Take a train to Circular Quay Station (from any CBD station, e.g., Wynyard or Town Hall).
• Bus options: Routes 525, 600, 610X stop near Circular Quay.
• From Circular Quay, walk approx 7 minutes to Cambridge St.

Car

• • Drive via Bradfield Hwy / George St / Hickson Rd depending on your starting point in the CBD.
  • Travel time: approx 5–10 minutes (traffic dependent).
  • Parking options:
    • Metered street parking on Argyle St or Gloucester St
    • Nearby car parks: Clocktower Car Park (1 min walk), Quay West Car Park (3 min walk).

Parking is easy, and there is usually plenty around our location. You can find metered parking on Argyle St, Gloucester St and surrounds. Closest parking garages are Clocktower and Quay West (both run by Wilson’s parking). 

PaniQ Room is very centrally located with major bus connections and trains close by.

Yes, we are completely beginner friendly! All of our rooms at PaniQ Room are rated 4/5 difficulty, but as we offer a dedicated gamesmaster and unlimited clues with no penalties, we can adjust the difficulty of all rooms to suit your team – from absolute beginners to seasoned escapers! 

There is so much to see and do in The Rocks and surrounds! Our enviable location right in the heart of The Rocks means we are only moments away from some of Sydney’s best landmarks – The Sydney Harbour Bridge, Opera House and MCA! Take in the views around Circular Quay, shop at The Rocks markets, or stop at a historic pub for lunch. With the CBD, Barangaroo, Walsh Bay, The Royal Botanical Gardens and King Street Wharf only a few minutes walk, you have the whole of Sydney on your doorstep!

In The Rocks, you are spoiled for choice! We have a variety of excellent top-dining restaurants, upmarket pubs, relaxed family-style dining and takeaway venues, all within 5 minutes walk of our location. Whether you’re after a harbour view, a craft beer or happy-hour cocktail, or the best hot chocolate in Sydney, whatever your price point and taste you’ll find food and drink to suit!

Neighbouring suburbs to The Rocks include Circular Quay, Barangaroo, Walsh Bay and Sydney Cove. The CBD, King St Wharf and The Royal Botanical Gardens are only a few minutes walk away. 

When looking for an escape room servicing Sydney’s CBD, it is hard to look past PaniQ Room. As Sydney’s premier and original escape room provider, we’ve been servicing Sydney with amazing rooms and customer service since 2015!

Most escape rooms including those serving Sydney CBD recommend comfortable clothing that you can easily move around in. At PaniQ Room, we suggest to wear whatever you feel most comfortable in – skirts and heels are fine! You are also welcome to dress in the theme of your escape room!

While most escape rooms serving Sydney CBD and the surrounding Sydney area have a minimum age of 9 or 10 years old, at PaniQ Room, we accept children of all ages into our escape rooms. All of our rooms are family friendly featuring no horror, gore or adult themes, but please check the descriptions as some rooms do have slightly scary elements that may be too much for younger players. Children aged 7 and under play free with a paying adult. 

To avoid disappointment, it is recommended for PaniQ Room and any other escape rooms serving Sydney CBD that you book in advance where possible. Escape rooms are generally busiest on weekends and evenings. PaniQ Room does accept walk ins if we have a gamemaster available, so please give us a call if you are close by The Rocks and wish to play!
